Hence, the energies and forces which govern and shape economic, political, and social life are largely hidden and subtle due to their unconscious and subconscious foundations and roots. Censorship, suppression, and sweeping details and facts about crimes against humanity and war crimes under the rug does not equate to being able to sweep away these aforementioned energies and forces or stopping what ensues from the manifestation and movement of such energies and forces. Hidden and subtle energies and forces that are unconscious and subconscious in nature may also explain why certain faces and voices trigger anger and annoyance, while other faces and voices prompt laughter and smiles. Liberal toxicity and the feeling of something heavy weighing down on your head and chest at the sight of certain politicians and television personalities also has much to do with hidden and subtle energies and forces which are unconscious and subconscious in nature.
Given that economic, political, and social life is governed and shaped by hidden and subtle energies and forces which are unconscious and subconscious in nature more than anything else, it follows that at the core of “quantum social science” and thus contemporary social science is a combination of uncertainty, complexity, and paradox. Why the combination of uncertainty, complexity, and paradox is at the heart of “quantum” and thus contemporary social science is because the assumption of a “quantum system” governing economic, political, and social life means that “mental wave functions” are what prompt the basic activities and interactions which make up the economic, political, and social life of a society.
One of the major reasons as to why “quantum social science” is an emerging field rather than an established field in the social sciences is because there is still very little that is known about these “mental wave functions” which are at the heart of the social world. Nor has there been a widespread reckoning with the reality of “mental wave functions” shaping our world beyond very small circles of intellectuals and thinkers. “Consciousness” and “experience” and “feeling” are the differentiating factors between the physical “brain” on one hand and the non-physical “mind” on the other hand. Hence, there is a separation of mind and body which explains why “consciousness” and “experience” and “feeling” cannot be fully explained by the mechanistic laws and principles that are at the heart of a classical approach to the social sciences.
Also, the non-physical “mind” is believed to be divided into two levels or tiers, according to certain cognitive scientists and psychologists which include the pioneers of modern-day psychoanalysis such as Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. For one, there is the underlying “quantum level” or “quantum system” of the mind which is the basis and source of all conscious activity and thought. And then, there is the “computational level” or “computational system” of the mind which processes the energies, impulses, and thoughts which come from the “quantum level” or “quantum system” of the mind.
Why patience and thoughtfulness are the cardinal virtues of both entrepreneurship and religion is because patience and thoughtfulness enable a person to effectively process and understand the energies, impulses, and thoughts which come from the “quantum level” or “quantum system” of the mind. Having the patience and thoughtfulness to drop what one is doing in order to process and understand the energies, impulses, and thoughts which emerge from a “quantum level” or “quantum system” of the mind translates into short-term sacrifices which render long-term benefits, whereas a lack of patience and thoughtfulness and “flying blind” translate into short-term gratification but long-term loss and pain. Why life-long education and knowledge (Bildung) is perhaps the only remedy to the ontological turbulence of a postmodern age whereby social and technological advancements and evolutions have overwhelmed the “computational” level of the mind is because education and knowledge enable the integration of both the “computational” and “quantum” levels of the human mind, which in turn refine and sublimate the energies, impulses, and thoughts of the “quantum level” or “quantum system” which transpose themselves on the “conscious” or “computational” level of the human mind.
