Why the “uncertainty principle” of quantum theory is at the heart of both the natural sciences and the social sciences in a postmodern age is because of both the position and momentum of particles at any given point in time.
Thus, given the unpredictability of both the position and momentum of particles at any given point in time, it follows that the behaviour and directionality of particles are also unpredictable, thus fomenting the central position of the “uncertainty principle” in both the natural and social sciences.
