Artist: Ustad Sarahang. Lyrics: Sheikh Ibrahim Hamadani. Rough translation: “Give me a little bit of happiness and pleasure, in order to relieve some of this grief and pain. Have some mercy on this poor heart, it’s been oppressed and suppressed for too long. The first day I saw her, I knew for a fact that she would be the one to turn my remaining days darker than night. But even if she were to curse and berate me because of love, I accept it, because the sweet wouldn’t be sweet without the sour. Without her face, holiness and religiosity would amount to hypocrisy and vice. Her face can even turn vice into holiness.”
