Why modern culture is devoid of this nourishment of the mother archetype is because the unconscious aim and purpose is a return to the archetypal and mythical maternal womb. In turn, the return to the archetypal and mythical maternal womb is the archetype for the return to myth itself, specifically the Dionysian myth which Nietzsche emphasized. Modern culture has lost its connection with the Dionysian myth, which means that modern culture is displaced from the archetypal or mythical maternal womb, and by virtue of being displaced from the archetypal or mythical maternal womb, modern culture is devoid of the necessary and vital nourishment of the mother archetype.
