Duran Etemadi, an Afghan artist and musician based in Germany. First-Cousin of Ali Etemadi, who happens to be my favorite contemporary Afghan artist and musician. The Etemadi family was part of the Afghan nobility during Afghanistan’s monarchy period. His grandfather was also one of Afghanistan’s prime ministers during that period. Yet another walking and talking cultural artifact of Afghanistan’s long and historic and rich culture and history.
