And what we miss or overlook, to put it simply, is the ultimate goal and the ultimate purpose. From a psychoanalytical perspective, we consider the ultimate goal and ultimate purpose to be largely mysterious or unknown. But when we look at the surface, in virtually every case, we see that the goal is none other than Beauty and Eros. It’s a paradox. The ultimate goal and purpose is both mysterious and obvious. The aesthetic and sensual dimension or element to the ultimate goal and purpose is preponderant and impossible to deny. No one wants something ugly and non-sensual. And we are either open about the ultimate goal and purpose, or we are hypocritical about it.
