And if we were to introduce both the core goals and objectives of various states in the international system along with the core assumptions of reality which underpin the goals and objectives, we will find that the basic premise for them is political realism or realpolitik. This is a fact and reality of international affairs which for some reason is denied or overlooked in the American mainstream.
