Although there are no rational motives or reasons for major power conflict between Washington, Moscow, and Beijing, there is absolutely no rational motive or reason for Washington to pick fights with Moscow and Beijing, Washington does in fact pick fights with Moscow and Beijing because there is a lot of money to be made from major power conflict. But who makes the money? The answer is the oligarchy or the financial class. The political class gets the crumbs. As Gramsci noted, there are four classes of people in America. For one, there is the oligarchy or financial class. Second, there is the political class which consists of military generals and presidents and ministers and senators and congressmen and bureaucrats and so forth. Third, there is the intelligentsia, which Gramsci considered to be the most powerful class in America and perhaps the best intelligentsia in the world. And fourth, there is the people or the masses. But what happened is that the oligarchy sucked the central government dry in the name of war, the central government then lost and mismanaged the conflict, and now there is a political crisis. There is now a clash between the two ruling classes, namely, the oligarchy and the political class. And there is now a power vacuum as a result of this clash. And there is no one to fill it. Trump seems most poised to fill the vacuum. But no one knows for certain what will happen.
