Oligarchy is the essence of the Western world. It’s the basic nature of the Western world. And oligarchy automatically implies rule by a capitalist class. But capitalism has a lifespan which consists of three stages. First is the competitive or grassroots stage of capitalism. Second, there is the imperialistic stage of capitalism, where it expands. And third, there is the hegemonic stage of capitalism, where it dominates and picks fights with others. We are now done with the last stage, namely, the hegemonic stage. It has reached its limits. After the hegemonic stage comes post-capitalism. And post-capitalism contends that there are three possible outcomes or scenarios which come out of capitalism: anarchy, decline, or socialism. Because of this range or this set of possible outcomes and scenarios, we contend that we don’t really know what will fill the void or the vacuum left by the clash between the oligarchy and the political class.
