And finally, how do you overcome or resolve the core problem or predicament that is the lack of meaning and purpose? If the lack of meaning and purpose is the problem or the predicament which plagues Western government and society more than anything else, then how do you overcome or resolve the predicament or problem? The answer is either religion or socialism. Western modernity, however, makes religion a tradeoff between either orthodoxy and unbelief. Between religion and sex. A fixation on either religion or sex arises out of modernity and the liberal and secular order. But outside of Western modernity, you get the best of both worlds. Moreover, many people consider pragmatism and self-interested rationalism as a better form of social justice than the wholesale redistribution of wealth. Therefore, by default or by process of elimination, religion is the key to overcoming the core problem or predicament of our system, namely, a lack of meaning and purpose or nihilism.
