Third footnote to the post titled “A War Made in Russia”

At the very outset, initiation into a tradition occurs. Tradition then develops the mental frame or mental framework which guides the individual’s conduct and discourse. And from the mental frame comes the activation of the intellect. Once the intellect is activated through the mental frame, the flow or stream begins. And then the flow or stream takes over its surroundings. Modernity, due to its egocentrism, does not even acknowledge or recognize the first step of initiation into a tradition, let alone acknowledge or recognize traditions themselves. Hence, the gap or rift between the modern mindset and traditional mindset which is almost impossible to bridge or close.
