Religion is ultimately a method for salvation. And what’s method? It’s psychological. It’s psychology. It follows that core and essential religious concepts and ideas such as eternity and salvation which are shared by all religions and traditions have a psychological basis to them. That psychological basis is the inner reality or inner psyche. It is through the inner reality or the inner life of the psyche whereby we determine the individual’s eternal or soteriological condition. It’s all method. Psychology is method and method is psychology in the very end.
