It follows that the Cold War and the East-West balance of power are not the end all be all, even if it appears as though this is the case. It follows that the Cold War between Washington and Moscow and the East-West balance of power are epiphenomena of change and structure, and in turn, change and structure are epiphenomena of historical and social process and progress. It follows that the historical and social process and historical and social progress encompass everything else, and it is the historical and social process which leads to historical and social progress that is to be comprehended and understood and acknowledged and recognized above all else.
