Decolonization in the Global South and Third World, decline of Western empire – the British, for instance, are permanently down and beat – and the move left and east within the Western world itself are the three major trends of a Cold War world, as mentioned before. We have mentioned this before, but mentioning it again is worthwhile. And if there is a fourth trend, it would be American economic power, but the major Cold War patterns and trends are usually kept at three by experts and scholars.
