“Bota Gar Tu Mara” – بتا گر تو ما را

Artist: Wahid Qasimi. Poem: Rumi. Rough Translation: “If the Beloved and the beautiful one looks towards me and sees me for what I am, if she wants to know who I really am, if she wants to get to know me, she will find that inside of me is an eternal garden and light, and the outside of me eventually fades away like saffron. I’ve given my heart to you, my love. Forget about the heart and what it desires and wants. I repent from all of it. I will give you my soul as well, given that my soul feeds off of yours. There were thousands of miracles and signs which manifested from these cries and tears, my love. There were thousands of miracles and signs which manifested from these discharges and releases. But for the miracles and signs to actually manifest, my love, we first had to lose face and reputation and annihilate the ego and sense of self.”
