Amidst the class antagonisms which arise as a result of the class structure, the best option for the regulating bourgeoise and capitalist class would be to withdraw and have less power, as Spencer argued. By withdrawing and having less power, those who are in the bourgeoisie and capitalist regulating class would be happier over the long run. But of course, the class antagonisms and the class struggle have to draw themselves out and manifest themselves until the very end, both sides entrench themselves, until there is an outcome. And the outcome, in theory and perhaps even as experience and history dictates to us and shows us, tends towards the middle class merchants and the masses and workers, not the bourgeoisie and capitalist elite.
