Ninth footnote to the post titled “The Class Bias”

Energy translates into successful integration with the unconscious structure. And of course, the goal of psychoanalysis and its various methods and techniques is integration with the unconscious structure. For the unconscious structure, you have to look East to a certain degree, not West. And there are two types of patients at the outset. We are all patients in a certain sense. We all begin as patients, and then some of us become healers. And there are two types of patients at the outset. For one, there are those who are genuinely in need of integration with the unconscious structure. And two, there are those who are too arrogant and impudent to integrate with the structure. Their character and personality does not allow them to integrate with the structure. They are beyond redemption in a sense. Those are essentially the two types of individuals or patients we are dealing with from a psychoanalytical standpoint. Each of us have to determine which of these two categories we fit into.
