However, and as Morgenthau argued, at the root of nationalism is anger and frustration. Therefore, cultural conflict is never the end all be all of international affairs. Aside from the Hobbesian strand of international affairs which is based on conflict, we have the Kantian strand which is based on natural religion and love as well as the Grotian strand of international affairs which is based on international law and its application.
