Fundamentally, however, and at the root of transference is the uncovering of nothing other than a fantasy. In sum, transference is the name of the game, and in turn, at the heart of transference is the uncovering of a fantasy. It is all as simple as this. The entire field or science of psychoanalysis is as simple as this.
