In truth, the master trend which has developed in the West both throughout the Cold War period and the post-Cold War period is moving left and looking East. Liberals deny this master trend hypocritically and stealthily. Conservatives deny this trend blatantly and explicitly. Thus, the likelihood is that this time around, the master trend will be denied blatantly and explicitly, because it will be denied regardless. So it is better to just deny it blatantly and explicitly. Those who are accumulating at the top will also find it better and more convenient to just deny the master trend blatantly and explicitly instead of having to be accused of election rigging and election interference and having their names and reputations dragged through the mud.
