“Creative Destruction” or “Schumpeter’s Gale” is at the heart of capitalism. It is the essence of capitalism. Capitalism always leads to structural changes and transformations, according to Schumpeter’s Gale, and as a result, people need to be strong and smart enough to adapt and adjust to these changes and transformations. Change and transformation on a structural scale and scope are inevitable. That is yet another core assumption of capitalism, if not the core assumption of capitalism. Which then reinforces the basic philosophical underpinnings or theory behind capitalism, namely, Social Darwinism. That you need to be strong enough and smart enough to adapt and adjust to change and transformation, because change and transformation are inevitable.
