And if there is any literal way by which unio mystica can be described or expressed, it can be described or expressed in a literal way only by considering what beauty, ecstasy, and intimacy would mean in their transcendent form or mode. It is not quite possible to describe or explain the condition or experience and state in literal terms or words, given the level of transcendence that is involved in the condition or experience or state. After all, the transcendence occurs only after a rigorous individuation process, whereby the annihilation of the ego and the obliteration of any sense of selfhood (Fana’) leads to a conceptualization or understanding of pantheism and thus the concept or understanding that nothing is real and only God has agency.
