I’ve been to Iran as well. Iran was the transit route for us between London and Afghanistan, specifically Tehran and the famous shrine city of Mashhad. My most vivid memories of Iran were the Grand Bazaar in Tehran and the famous Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad. Of course, I will never forget our hosts there, or the Afghan airline agency director in Tehran who introduced us to Iranian personal pizzas. But no pictures from Iran for some reason. I couldn’t track down any. I asked my dad why. He said he had no idea. He said he either lost them, or it never occurred to him to take pictures there. It was almost 22 years ago after all. And it’s hard to keep track of every little thing or remember it, despite our curiosity. Some questions will just remain unanswered I suppose.
