DC-Metro Area Food Recommendation, February 7, 2025

“Bourbon Steak” – located at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown – is the Mecca of Wagyu in the DC-Metro Area. Here we have a 14 oz. Colorado Ribeye Wagyu with Grilled Shrimp and Bourbon Sauce on the side. It went very well with the very delicate Maryland Crab Cake that came before it as an appetizer. The Japanese cuts were in the 400 to 600 plus dollar range, and were only about half or even less than half the size of the 14 ounce American Wagyu that I had for about $150. There was an Australian cut on the menu as well, which was also much cheaper than the Japanese cuts and was closer to the price of the American cut. It kind of balances out all the religion and war and politics. But then again, you need both.
