Neuhaus. Imported Belgian chocolate since 1857. The first ever Belgian chocolatier. Jean Neuhaus was actually a pharmacist who would coat his medicines with chocolate to make them less bitter. And then he decided, you know what? Instead of coating medicine with chocolate, let me actually make chocolate. So he became the first ever chocolatier in Belgium, and now Neuhaus is a worldwide chain, with three locations in the DC metropolitan area alone. If we don’t import this stuff, can we make it ourselves? No, we can’t. Everyone always needs alternatives and incentives in the market. Hence, the need to continue free trade and a free market.
