There are essentially two tiers in our society. Fifty-fifty. On one tier, three individuals now own more wealth than everyone in the bottom tier combined. Three individuals now own more wealth than the bottom fifty percent of the population. But of course, the bridge between the two tiers is education and life experience. Social mobility always depended on education and life experience. And it still does to a large extent. Nothing has changed. It’s always been the same. No surprises whatsoever. There are of course efforts on the part of certain individuals to deprive everyone of the education and life experience which would enable social mobility. But when that happens, lots of problems emerge in society.
