Shamali was always known for its libertine culture and state of mind. Music, alcohol, drugs, sex. Kings would always escape to Shamali to get away from it all. Like the famous “New York State of Mind” in American pop culture – “I’m in a New Yooooork state of mind” – there’s the “Shamali” state of mind in the Eastern world or specifically in the Farsi-speaking world. Do you have any idea who I am, my love? If you knew, or maybe if you knew much earlier, you would’ve perhaps reconsidered the whole approach you’ve taken all this time.
