1000 piece set of Monte Carlo poker chips. I got the chips and the case separately over the course of the last couple of days. For those who are unaware, and if you’re not an avid gambler like I am, Monte Carlo is the world’s most famous casino, situated right along the southeastern border between France and Italy on the French side, in the region known as Monaco. I used to play lots of poker back in the day, and I wasn’t bad at it either, but I gave it up when I started my blog about six years ago. In honor of all the gambling I’ve done lately, I simply wanted these chips as a souvenir and as memorabilia per se. But guess where the chips are made? China. So there you have it.
