The ultimate secret, however, is that the mystic or the saint became a mystic or a saint because it was utterly impossible for him to appease and accommodate all the women of his circle. All of them sought appeasement and accommodation from him. All of them. Every single one of them. So in the end, they all conspired to drive him into mysticism and sainthood and to isolate and seclude him. If one couldn’t have him, none of them could. Women ultimately decided his fate and his destiny. That’s the ultimate secret behind the mystic and the saint. That explains everything about him in the very end.
