“Ba Ishq e Tu Kardam” – به عشق تو کردم

Original Artist: Ustad Rahim Bakhsh. But it is of course a favorite amongst the classical and traditional songs played by all contemporary and present-day artists who are into this particular genre. It is as classical and traditional as it can possibly get for the time being. Rough Translation: “I loved and I lost. I gave everything I had to love and the beloved. Yet, the one I loved didn’t know the value and worth of any of this. I never saw any good from her either. I wasted so many years, and I’m getting much older now, and all I can do now is not help but cry over a youth that is now pretty much lost. But above all else, love is an education. And in this education called love, I know of nothing and I knew of nothing except for the beloved. She was the center of my entire life and world. Love meant knowing and seeing and mentioning and saying nothing except for the beloved.”
