From a major power standpoint or viewpoint, Afghanistan is the ultimate prize. It’s worth taking and then keeping, for so many different reasons and motivations. America, however, lost it over Iraq, and because of Iraq, America lost the whole world to Russia and China. But it’s too late now. It’s regretful. We want to overcome the regret of it, but it’s too late. Some of us will perhaps die from that regret.
