After the annihilation of the ego and self and its mundane and petty desires and wants – fana– there is the instillment of divine attributes in the individual, and with the instillment of divine attributes in the individual comes the flow and stream – baqa – and after the flow and stream comes the meeting with the beloved – liqa.
What better outcome than love? There isn’t any other that tops it. But while everyone else is in a fighting mood, hopefully, we can approach the beloved in a drunken, happy, and singing mood.
