Summer Road Trip, 2025

Given my creative and imaginative and impulsive and spontaneous side, I decided to turn an ordinary business trip to North Carolina into a road trip into the Deep South. I haven’t been on an actual trip since May of last year when I went to New York. So I’m seizing the opportunity. I’m gonna turn something ordinary into something content-worthy. From Northern Virginia where I live to North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and back if I don’t chicken out. Today, I drove all along the Allegheny Mountains into Southwestern Virginia to good ol’ Hot Springs, Virginia at the Omni Homestead Resort. I decided that before my three-day business trip in Charlotte, North Carolina, I’d like to stop and relax midway for a hot mineral spring bath. It was a six-hour ride to Charlotte from where I live, so I decided that at about the three-hour mark, we stop here for a little bit of relaxation. So that’s where we are now. Come join me for the ride, and let’s not chicken out.
