The founder of the Omni Homestead – Thomas Bullitt – was a close friend of George Washington, which then makes it a historic landmark or a site of great national significance, given that this was literally where George Washington came to chill with his bff. For dinner at the ‘Jefferson’s Taproom’ downstairs, ‘Blue Ridge Mountains Sliders’ for appetizer (venison smash patties, wild mushrooms, gruyère, arugula, shallot jam, brioche) and a Virginia Crab Roll to top it all off (citrus herb aioli, old bay, celery, pickled shallots, brioche). I hope the food doesn’t disappoint. I don’t think it will. You’ll get the review in the next verse.
