Summer Road Trip, 2025 (Verse Thirteen)

Lobster bisque was indeed creamy and hearty 👏🏼
Between the appetizer and the main dish, they brought out this brilliant little thing. Fried polenta cake with tomato salsa on top. This little thing packed a heavy punch. It had an Italian flavor to it. And it’s not just a mere coincidence, given that there’s a strong Italian connection and influence in Argentina due to colonialism. And if you didn’t connect the dots yet, that’s what’s central to our entire big picture. British and European Colonialism.
I loved the croquette. I’m a fan of the croquette in general, but this one was of course unique. So we went with the best that the Charlotte food scene had to offer right off the bat. And it was nice 👍🏼
