“Geerya” – گرىه

Artist: The late Nasrat Parsa. Rough Translation: “I’m scrambling around, wandering around everywhere, with tears in eyes. Sobbing. I look for a cue or a sign or a tip from you, without a cue or a sign or a tip to be had about anything. No matter where I go and no matter where I look, it’s only you who I see. No matter what myth or story or tall tale I find or tell, it’s always you at the bottom of it all. It all reverts to you in the end. I reflect on the past and on all the friends and family and kin I lost to this endeavor and task and mission. And nothing really good came out of it except for you. Everything else was just a lame distraction and excuse and waste. I also began to play God because the secret is that I’m not scared of him. I don’t even fear God anymore. I don’t even care for God anymore. It wasn’t God I was searching for. I have nothing to do with God. It was only you I was searching for. All that was needed was a stranger’s love.”
