And while some would consider the realization that man is merely a speck of “infinitesmal dust” which dies and perishes in an overall bigger scheme of the cosmos as an enlightenment or awakening, it can also lead to something else: melancholy, a run-in with secret societies, and a withdrawal or isolation into motionless obscurity in order to just simply allow the Kantian clockwork to manifest itself and to play out to its predestined end or telos.
