Fifth Note to “The Schumer Shutdown”

Empire and hegemony have a lot to do with the innervations and impulses of the psyche and subconscious mind as well. Psychoanalysis is in a sense our final analysis. And what happens essentially is that the ‘Pleasure Principle’ and Eros give way to the ‘Reality Principle’ and Death. Eros is replaced by Death, and the realization of Death begins to set in when all is said and done. A lot of what is happening now, therefore, is psychoanalytical in essence and nature.
