Eleventh Note to “Botkhana Neshin Hastam”

From a “Great Game” or “Cold War” viewpoint or standpoint, the entire aim and purpose of it all was to keep the peace in Europe. But we have war in Europe yet again. Arguably, Russia seeks to control all of Europe through a war of dominance and hegemony, when the whole point was to deter Russia from waging such a war. In a word, deterrence failed, the basic aim of it all was not achieved, which makes it all the more evident that the cards or the hand we were all dealt in the very end was an eternal, existential conflict and war with China and Russia. And this eternal, existential conflict eclipses and overshadows all else.
