I can never forget when I was fresh out of grad school and I went back to my alma mater to listen to a former bureaucrat speak there at an event whom I will not name. And it’s not for privacy or security reasons. It’s because none of them are worth the breath and energy. I hate their fucking guts. And when he spoke, he recounted and recalled his state of shock and awe and his sheer disbelief and surprise that everything he ever struggled for – namely, to precipitate the collapse of Moscow – was unfolding before his very eyes in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Fast forward to today, and I’m the one in a state of shock and awe and in sheer disbelief and surprise that the collapse of Washington is unfolding before my very eyes after all my discourse and efforts.
