“Kama Sutra” (Fourth Note)

The feeling of “spiritual ecstasy” or unio mystica associated with ‘deliverance’ or ‘salvation’ and the ‘ethical rationalism’ which sustains all of it is a matter which pertains solely to “The Elect” or the mystics and saints. “Voluntary Election” involves the time and resources of a monarch or aristocrat. “Involuntary Election” is brought upon an individual. Hence, it is a condition or a feeling that is familiar and known only to a very exclusive and very small group of people – about 400 on the lower end of the tally or maybe 4,000 on the higher end of the tally – many of whom are detached and isolated from the world and are hidden and secluded from the public and whose identities are largely concealed and unknown to the public. They are individuals who are concerned more with the unseen and invisible world than they are with the mundane and visible world, given their eschatological and soteriological condition and state.
