“Na Surode Na Surore” – نه سرودي نه سروري

Artist: Ahmad Zahir. Rough Translation: “I don’t sense any passion or joy, nor any compassion or energy. It’s as if life is now covered and shrouded in austere and religious clothing from the dark ages and medieval times. They might as well come to me and kill my vibe as well by taking the ashes and dirt of dead bones and corpses of antiquity and from this corrupt generation that came before us and shove them down our throats. Fuck their laws, their values, and their system too. I’m sick and tired of it. Life is supposed to bring something new and interesting every night and every day. Life is about coming up with new thoughts and ideas and being curious and inquisitive enough to discover them and explore them. Life should spice things up once in a while with a new longing and pain and worry, a new desire and envy and interest, and a new calling or duty and purpose. Life is about the fight, the struggle, and the excitement and thrill that can come with it. Life is about taking a stand and being courageous enough to push for change and reform. And of course, life is definitely not about being tied down in miserable relationships and kissing the same hackneyed lips over and over again. I want to be a connoisseur of women and try new ones all the time. I want new lips to kiss, and perhaps even a new love to enjoy as well.”
