Fear-mongering and terrorizing poor people and students while losing your mind over the same decadence and luxury which you campaigned against is not what anyone voted for. It’s better for everyone to just revert to the basic pattern, master trend, episteme, and oeuvre which brings at least a semblance of normalcy and stability to civic and social life.
