Trump’s final thought on Election Day was Jew-hating and Israel and that only he is the true champion of Jewish people. But of course, many Jews would perhaps contend that Trump’s approach has made things worse for Jews and Israel as opposed to better. For one, the crux of the Israel issue is now Iran’s nuclear program. At one point, Iran was willingly coming to the table to talk to Washington about the nuclear issue. Now, as a result of Trump going gung-ho in his first year, Iran decided to up the ante on him: end all support for Israel, withdraw all American troops from the region, and adopt a policy of non-interference in the region. And then we might come back to the table to talk. Not to mention that anything which the State of Israel does – whether good or bad – has a direct impact on the condition of Jews or the Jewish diaspora around the world. So of course, the gung-ho approach towards Iran and the bias towards the issue of Israel does not favor the Jewish people. Nevertheless, Jew-hating and Israel was of course the final thought on Election Day. It had to be! And we addressed it and deconstructed it all.
