And shifting from philosophy to the mundane yet again, the last time we shifted from philosophy to the mundane, it was to cover the government shutdown. But now that we are inching towards what will perhaps be a short-lived end to the shutdown, we are now shifting from philosophy to the mundane in order to touch on the infamous ‘Epstein Files’ for a little bit.
We should note that Jeffrey Epstein has been talked about ever since Bill Clinton was president and when big names would frequent “Epstein Island” and so on and so forth. But for one reason or another, it is now Epstein’s ghost that is haunting the big names in America. As I told someone recently, the oligarchic bubble and echo chamber that is in denial of the existence of the universe is the form that takes shape among the big names in America, and emails and scandals are the substance of this oligarchic bubble and echo chamber that is in denial of the existence of the universe.
But what really adds a kick to the “Epstein Files” matter at this very moment in time is the fact that in 2015, Donald Trump decided that he was going to trash the oligarchic bubble and echo chamber with the substance we mentioned. Hillary Clinton’s “33,000 emails” and “Pizzagate” and one conspiracy theory and scandal after another is essentially what got Donald Trump elected as president. But then, the American public wanted more red meat, and for better or for worse, Epstein became relevant again. Epstein became relevant yet again soon after Trump got elected for a second go in 2024. Of course, Trump promised transparency in terms of the “Epstein Files” when he was campaigning before the 2024 election, but like a lot of his promises – including the big one which consisted of rooting out the “deep state” when he takes office – it all amounted to a bunch of blood-boiling lies.
And as one commentator suggested, the “Epstein Files” matter is being conducted and orchestrated by the Democrats very much in a “drip-drop” manner. First, there was the journals and letters. Then, the pictures. And now, the emails. The same emails that got Trump elected in 2016 will perhaps be the home run for the Democrats today. And of course, after the emails comes the signing of the petition in the House of Representatives in Congress to name names. The naming of names live on CNN will be the climactic act in response to the Bondi-Patel coverup of this matter, but it is now a question of whether the Democrats can and will drive the matter forward to the point of this climactic act. As I said before, the naming of names will be today’s equivalent of the moon landing decades ago.
And even if short on accountability and justice, the naming of names will be a spectacle and scandal of epic and historic proportions from a media and public relations standpoint for the Democrats. And who knows? What if the Bondi-Patel coverup is futile and pointless given that the Democrats know quite a lot about this matter, to the extent that they will name names live on CNN? Historically, Democrats have been quite cautious when it came to these matters, but as we said before, Trump broke all the norms and rules of the elite oligarchic bubble and echo chamber. So, the gloves are off per se, and anything goes now. Moreover, naming names in Congress will be a good way for Congress to deflect away from its own sex scandals in conference rooms and hearing rooms and so on and so forth and from its abysmal approval rating. Who knows? What if Congress’s approval rating goes through the roof for naming names live on CNN? And of course, it will be a way for Congress to demonstrate that it is their way of holding big name pedophiles accountable and being transparent for once.
Thus, and in a sense, a ‘perfect storm’ of sorts is developing around the Epstein issue, but not in Trump’s favor. It is very much developing in favor of the Democrats, but not in Trump’s favor. Congress wants to name names, the people want to name names, and it is good to do so morally. And arguably, all of it is karma for what we got out of this administration in the first year of their second term. Long story short, the time is ripe and the stage is set for the “Iron Triangle” in Washington to do something useful with their money and time for once.
