Realpolitik – and not idealism – is the umbrella concept or term for the medley or mix of regime change and pragmatism we get from the overall history of the Cold War, the sole aim or goal of which was to of course pick off as many pawns from Moscow as possible and as a matter of fact sacrifice some of these pawns for even bigger pieces.
