Turning on the television and even a great deal of the internet and social media amounts to letting Satan into your mind and space. Hence, the need to balance hedonism and pleasure-seeking with the kind of ascetic practices such as intensive reading and writing and intensive meditation and prayer in order to ward off these evil and diabolical influences.
