And of course, given his extraordinary power in the sense that he controlled both a world empire and the unseen world, black magicians and sorcerers were infatuated with Solomon, to the extent that they sought to experiment their black magic and evil eye on him. Legend or myth has it that Solomon warded it all off with intensive reading and writing as well as intensive meditation and prayer. In turn, all of his ascetic practices and techniques led to an enhanced libido and sex drive. Solomon ended up with multiple wives and at least a thousand sexual encounters with women. It is also believed that the two sides of his throne were occupied by a hawk on one side and a dove on the other side, only for the dove to beat out the hawk in the very end.
