Second Note to “The Decline of Liberalism”

As one economist and financial expert said, money and wealth are a lot like basic energy and matter, in the sense that money and wealth are not created or destroyed. Money and wealth simply exchange hands and are transferred. Which means what? Extraction and exclusion on the part of the billionaire class is behind everything if the fact of the matter is that debt and dysfunction reigns supreme, and yet, money and wealth cannot be created or destroyed and can only exchange hands and be transferred.
