There is a war going on, and when a war is raging like it is now in Eastern Europe, the war eclipses and overshadows all other considerations, including whether a progressive movement arises as an alternative to the Trump movement here in the United States. It is now very much a matter of how the United States approaches this war and manages it. This is the primary focus from a governmental standpoint at the present moment.
